Join your fellow residents of NY-24 at the Smith Opera House in Geneva on Tuesday, March 18 from 7pm-8:30pm. Our Congressional Representative Claudia Tenney has been invited to explain her recent votes to defund Medicaid, rip away Veteran's health benefits, and make life harder for her constituents. Will she show?
Even is she is not brave enough to face voters, we will have a discussion with a panel of experts to learn more about recent federal actions and policies and their impact on our healthcare. Come and engage in the discussion! No RSVP necessary.

Rep. Claudia Tenney voted on February 25 in favor of House Republicans’ cruel, reckless budget proposal that robs hard-working Americans of the benefits that we have spent our lives earning and paying for. The budget includes billions of dollars in cuts to Medicaid, which over seven million New Yorkers rely on.
Claudia Tenney has put Medicaid on the chopping block, threatening the health care of 34.6%—that’s ONE out of every THREE—of people who live in her own district! With this vote, she makes very clear that our health and wellbeing mean nothing to her if it stands in the way of giving corrupt billionaires and corporate donors trillions of dollars in tax breaks.
This is what voting for Republicans gets you.

Do you want to take direct action against Republican efforts to destroy our country? Serving in local office is a great way to make a real difference. We are looking for Democratic candidates for this year’s election.
In 2025, each of the nine towns in Yates County will have two board members up for election. Supervisors will be elected for Barrington, Benton, Italy, Jerusalem, Potter, and Torrey. Additionally, Town Clerks will be on the November ballot in Barrington, Italy, Potter, Middlesex, Milo, and Torrey.
At the County level, Legislative District #1 (Italy, Jerusalem, and Middlesex) has four Legislator seats up for election, and Legislative District #2 (Benton, Potter, and Torrey) .

Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries: Dems to reject Trump-backed policy provisions in CR
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) said Thursday that Democrats will reject any short-term spending bill that includes Trump-backed policy provisions or kicks the issue of 2025 spending into next year. Jeffries noted that Republican leaders in both chambers have already backed legislation, known as the Fiscal Responsibility Act (FRA), that set government spending levels for both fiscal 2024 and 2025 and are now walking away from that deal at the risk of a shutdown.

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand today announced $7,595,180 in federal funding for the City of Syracuse to hire up to 20 new firefighters. The funding was allocated through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Program, a program which the senators fought hard to successfully preserve and fund earlier this year.
